The Bachchan family is recognized for owning three bungalows in the vicinity, with Janak serving as an office space for the 81-year-old actor. Both Prateeksha and Jalsa, another property owned by the family, hosted the wedding ceremonies of Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

The property gifted to Shweta derives its name from a poem penned by Amitabh’s father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, reflecting its sentimental significance within the family. According to close reports, the official transfer of ownership occurred on November 8, 2023, with the Bachchans paying approximately 50 lakhs as stamp duty for the transaction.

While Amitabh Bachchan has been an iconic figure in the film industry for over five decades, recent speculation surrounds reported disturbances within the family. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, their daughter-in-law, has seemingly distanced herself from the Bachchan household, post her ramp walk in Paris, which also featured the debut of Shweta’s daughter. This occurrence appears to have created a divide within the family.
