Pamela Ji, whose full name was Pamela Singh, was born in Lahore, Pakistan, into a Punjabi family. She was a talented Bharatnatyam dancer and started her career in the film industry as a playback singer in 1960. However, her life took a new turn after marrying producer Yash Chopra, who was already an established name in Bollywood at that time.

Pamela and Yash Chopra had an arranged marriage in 1970, and they went on to have two sons – Aditya Chopra and Uday Chopra. Both of their sons have made their mark in the industry as producers. While Aditya Chopra is the head of their production house, Yash Raj Films. Uday Chopra tried his luck as an actor but failed to make a successful career as an actor.

She was admitted to the hospital due to age-related issues, but her condition quickly deteriorated, and she was placed on a ventilator. Unfortunately, she lost her battle with pneumonia and passed away at the hospital. The news of her demise has come as a shock to the film industry and her fans, who are mourning her loss. Pamela Chopra was a well-known figure in the film industry and had worked closely with her husband on several successful films. Her contributions to Indian cinema will always be remembered.

The whole of Bollywood landed at the Chopra house to attend the funeral and console the family. All major personalities included directors, producers, actors actresses, and many others.
