Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has found himself embroiled in a legal controversy as the Patiala House Court in Delhi has summoned him and two others in connection with an alleged fraud linked to the popular food chain ‘Garam Dharam Dhaba.’ The case, filed by a Delhi businessman, accuses Dharmendra, the actor and his associates of luring him into investing ₹41 lakh in a franchise venture with promises of significant returns.
According to the complaint, the investor was assured a monthly turnover of ₹70-80 lakh, but despite the initial agreement, the commitments were reportedly not fulfilled. The allegations include cheating, conspiracy, and intimidation, casting a shadow on the franchise and Dharmendra’s association with it. The next hearing is scheduled for February 2025.
