Diljit Dosanjh praised KKR at Kolkata Concert Sparks, Shah Rukh Khan Responds

Diljit Dosanjh lit up Kolkata with his thrilling performance during the Dil-Luminati Tour 2024. Amid the cheers, he sparked conversations by praising Shah Rukh Khan and his IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), while also referencing Guru Nanak and Rabindranath Tagore, creating a wave of reactions.

At the concert, Diljit Dosanjh chanted KKR’s slogan, Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo, and remarked, “Yeh badi pyaari tagline hai. Especially Shah Rukh Khan sir ki team hai, toh waise acchi lagni thi hume kyuki hum sir ke fan hai.” He further called it a motivating mantra for giving one’s 100 percent effort.

Diljit Dosanjh’s next words veered into a deeper cultural realm. He shared an anecdote about Rabindranath Tagore, who, when asked to write a world anthem, responded, “Guru Nanak ji already wrote that in the 15th century.” Diljit recited Guru Nanak’s verses and urged fans to read them, calling them a “world anthem.” While many applauded his insights, others debated his comparison, claiming it overshadowed Tagore’s legacy.

Shah Rukh Khan noticed Diljit Dosanjh’s gesture and responded on X, “Thank you for bringing joy to the City of Joy, @diljitdosanjh Paaji. I’m sure all at @KKRiders and their fans love the Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo reference. Love u.” Diljit replied, “Thank You Sir. We LOVE YOU. KORBO LORBO JEETBO.”

During his Kolkata visit, Diljit Dosanjh also explored the city, stopping at the Indian Coffee House and Dakshineswar temple. The Dil-Luminati Tour 2024 continues in Bengaluru on December 6, keeping fans buzzing with excitement.
