Pollywood actress Payal Rajput makes a comeback in Pollywood with Daddy O Daddy
Payal Rajput is known for her work in a Pollywood movie named Channa Mereya. That was her debut movie in the Punjabi entertainment industry. And it received positive critics becoming a success at the box office. But after that, the actress decided to explore the world of acting and entertainment beyond Punjab. Before getting launched in Punjab she was already a successful Television artist. Hence her movement to other industries alongside Pollywood was quite obvious.
After Channa Mereya started her career on the big screen. She debuted in the Bollywood industry with every Ki Wedding. It was not the Kareena Kapoor starer Veere Di Wedding. Rather it was a completely different project. After that, the actress also appeared in a Tamil movie named RX 100. Since then, the Disco Raja actress has been working in all three industries of entertainment simultaneously.
Before making her debut in Channa Mereya, Payal started her acting career at the age of 18 with a daily soap named Sapnon Se Bhare Naina. It aired for 2 years on Starplus and was a super hit. After that, she continued her work on small screens till she didn’t get her break in Pollywood. Even after starting her big screen career, the Yeh Hai Aashiqui actress didn’t bid goodbye to national TV. She rather accepted the offers and opportunities that came her way.
In Punjab, she did some small roles in movies like Mr & Mrs 420 Returns, Marriage Palace and Ishqaa. But nothing came as strong as the character of Kainaat in Channa Mereya. It was a remake of the Marathi Film Sairat. And it also earned her a best female debut that year. Moreover, a similar story was again recreated a year after with some changes. It was Dhadak staring Janhvi Kapoor and ishaan Khattar.
Now the actress is back with a strong project in the Pollywood News. The name of the movie is Daddy O Daddy. It stars Binnu Dhillon, Smeep Kang, and Karamjeet Anmol along with Payal Rajput sitting in a cafe in London. The team posted a video on social media where Payal seems extremely happy joining back Pollywood as the main lead. It was the first day of the shoot. And all seemed super excited and also promised everyday videos on social media for fans and followers.
The team also revealed that the majority of the shoots will be in London Only. From the name and the star cast it sounds like a typical Punjabi comedy entertainer. Times are gone when Pollywood was just limited to music. Now we are chasing the rest with speed. Recently launched comedy Carry On Jatta 3 entered the 100 crore club extending investor expectations.
Artists like Payal Rajput, Sonam Bajwa, BInnu Dhillon and others who do not carry a singing profession do have a strong career. A few years ago, this industry was more limited to singers. They were playback singers and onscreen actors. Hence, onscreen artists didn’t see a scope here. Further, music was the main backbone of the narrative. But now, story and direction equally stand important.
For Daddy O Daddy, famous director Smeep Kang will look after the direction works.Â
Hence, artists like Payal Rajput are happy to return back and hope big here. We wish the team of Daddy O Daddy Pollywood drama all the best.

AP Dhillon is an Indian cum Canadian singer. He is also a rapper and is closely associated with the Punjabi music industry. His latest music release named With You stars Banita Sandhu as a Model. The song is already a super hit and comes at the top list of the charts. It is a Punjabi song with fast music. And both Banita Sandhu and AP Dhillon come as a cute couple enjoying their good time together.
If one goes through a video, It doesn’t seem like a planned or directed shot film. Rather, it looks like a collection of short clips of a real-life couple. Banita is all laughing and having fun throughout the video. There are no directional closeup views. That pushes the audience to consider them a couple.
