Boney Kapoor Responds to Arshad Warsi’s Payment Claims for “Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja”
Boney Kapoor hits back at Arshad Warsi for wrong payment claims
In a recent chat with Bollywood Hungama, producer Boney Kapoor addressed Arshad Warsi’s claims about not being fully paid for his work on the 1993 film Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja. Warsi had said that he was promised ₹1 lakh for choreographing a song but ended up receiving only ₹75,000.
Boney Kapoor didn’t hold back in his response, saying, “I read his statement, and I laughed. The shoot took place in 1992, and at that time, Arshad wasn’t a star. Who would have paid him such a huge amount?”
Boney Kapoor went on to explain that the shoot, which was originally scheduled for four days, wrapped up in three, thanks to the efficiency of the director, Pankaj Parashar. According to Boney Kapoor, Warsi was paid ₹25,000 per day, totalling ₹75,000, which Kapoor believes was more than fair.
He also expressed surprise that Warsi was bringing up this issue after so many years, suggesting that the actor might be looking for media attention. Boney Kapoor noted that he often finds himself a “soft target” for such claims.
With the development of the virtual world, more transparency has developed in the world generating impossible controversies and Immediate reaction.
Public opinion and attention have taken the front seat in fame and stardom. Hence artists and actors do not shy away from bringing the oldest grudges in the media attention.
But eventually it has started a blame game in the industry where so much surprising is coming from the past declaring this world od showbiz as well full of tensions and disturbances and that all glitters is just the presentation not the reality.
The exchange between Boney Kapoor and Arshad Warsi has sparked fresh discussions about old Bollywood practices and how these stories continue to surface even decades later.

Call Me Bae trailer released on YouTube with Ananya Panday portraying the lead role of Bae.
After watching the trailer for Ananya Panday’s new series Call Me Bae, it’s hard not to feel a bit underwhelmed. The show seems more interested in showcasing fashion and luxury than telling a meaningful story. The idea of a rich girl suddenly having to live like an ordinary person could have been interesting, but here it just feels unrealistic and hollow.
Ananya Panday does a solid job as Bae in Call Me Bae, she’s charming and effortlessly slips into the role. It’s clear she’s having fun with it, and her comic timing is spot on. But she seems stuck in a role that doesn’t really give her much to work with. Bae is essentially just a slightly more refined version of Kareena Kapoor’s Poo from K3G or Alia Bhatt’s Shanaya from Student of the Year, atleast what i find. There’s nothing particularly fresh or exciting about the character or the story. Imagine K3G or Student Of The Year with just Poo or Shanaya. We’re they worth the screentime?
