Tanushree Dutta Hits Back at Nana Patekar, Alleges Conspiracy and Harassment
In a scathing Instagram post, Tanushree Dutta has responded to Nana Patekar’s recent interview where he denied all harassment allegations. Dutta called Patekar a “pathological liar” and cited the infamous Varanasi boy slapping incident as evidence of his abusive behavior. She detailed how Patekar initially claimed the slap was part of a shoot, only to backtrack and offer a half-hearted apology after public backlash.
Tanushree Dutta revealed that she might be contemplating another FIR against Patekar, accusing him of conspiracy to murder, criminal intimidation, and stalking. She recounted her experiences of severe harassment over the past few years, claiming she was followed, stalked, and subjected to multiple attempts on her life. Dutta likened her ordeal to that of the late Sushant Singh Rajput, implying that hired goons were behind the relentless harassment she faced.
She pointed out Patekar’s alleged connections to the criminal underworld, mentioning his self-proclaimed ties to the deceased gangster Manya Surve. Tanushree Dutta accused Patekar of thinking she would be dead by now, according to his plan, but stated that she survived and is now fighting back. She highlighted how Patekar’s support base in Bollywood has dwindled, with many of his supporters either going bankrupt or losing their status.
In her post, Tanushree Dutta emphasized that every director who has worked with Patekar has stories of his manipulative and abusive behavior. She cited veteran actress Dimple Kapadia’s description of Patekar as “obnoxious” and referenced the Varanasi boy who claimed he was slapped by Patekar for no reason. Dutta questioned if all these individuals were liars too.
The tension between Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar dates back to 2008 when Dutta accused Patekar of inappropriate conduct during the shooting of the song sequence for “Horn Ok Please.” She alleged that despite the song being meant for a solo performance, Patekar was always present on set. Dutta also claimed that Patekar called the MNS party to bash up her car and was supported by choreographer Ganesh Acharya. Despite filing a complaint with the Cine & TV Artists Association (CINTAA) in 2008, no action was taken as it was deemed a criminal case.
Tanushree Dutta left the country but returned in 2018 with the rise of the #MeToo movement in India, reigniting her fight for justice. Her recent Instagram post highlights her ongoing battle and the severe challenges she has faced. Dutta’s determination to seek justice and expose the alleged wrongdoings of Nana Patekar remains strong, as she continues to stand firm in her accusations.
