Sonakshi Sinha Not Converting to Islam: Only Civil Marriage Happening, Zaheer’s Father Confirms

In an interview with the Free Press Journal, Ratansi clarified that the union between Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal will be strictly a civil marriage, devoid of any Hindu or Muslim rituals.
“It will be a civil marriage,” Ratansi stated emphatically, dismissing rumors of Sonakshi Sinha’s conversion to Islam. He further asserted, “She is not converting and that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts, and religion has no role to play whatsoever.” Ratansi emphasized his belief in humanity, highlighting that irrespective of religious affiliations—whether one worships Bhagwan or Allah—all are fundamentally human beings.
The couple has reportedly adhered to the provisions of the Special Marriage Act, 1954, having duly given the mandatory one-month notice to the marriage registrar. The wedding, scheduled for June 23, 2024, may take place at Zaheer’s residence on Carter Road, as hinted by Ratansi.
