Rajat Bedi known for his role in Koi Mil Gaya opens his heart about the discrimination he had to face in the industry of entertainment in India.

Bollywood antagonist Rajat Bedi aka Raj Saxena from Koi Mil Gaya is an Indo-Canadian actor who debuted in 1998 with a movie named 2001: Do Hazaar Ek. And since then the actor kept taking supporting and antagonist roles in Hindi dramas.

In his career span of 25 years, he contributed to some big hits that made history in the Bollywood industry. A few of them include Chaalbaaz, Koi Mil Gaya, The Hero: Love Story Of A Spy, International Khiladi and many others. He started as a supportive artist and continued with the same. But the actor has his own story of struggles in the industry.

In his recent interaction with the media, he disclosed the treatment he received as an artist during the making, promotion, release and post-success of Koi Mil Gaya in the industry. Koi Mil Gaya is the first superhero-based movie in Hindi cinema. Hrithik Roshan played a special child with some incapabilities in the story. Rajat Bedi played a college student who used to be a classmate of Hrithik Roshan and got promoted.

As per the artist, his role in the tale was not that limited. He had shot many scenes with the main leads aka Hrithik and Preity Zinta. But a lot of it got scraped. Further, as an artist, he expected to participate actively in the promotions. But he was nowhere. He even said that he shot a complete track with the female lead but to his shock, it was not there in the final film.

The audience appreciated the story and the work of the artists and Koi Mil Gaya became a huge hit of its time. for the unversed, It was a superhero film made on a big budget of 30 crores and gave an output of 80 crores at the Box Office. Rakesh Roshan, who came in the character of Sanjay Mehra was the producer and the director of this alien-based drama.

As Hritik, the main lead in the tale is his own son, he kept his onscreen character as the strongest. The rest of the artists in the shootings were secondary. Post the success of the film, Rajat Bedi had high hopes with some good offers. But nothing landed him that would lure him as an artist. hence, he felt so frustrated, broken and depressed that he finally decides to move back to Canada. 

Interestingly, in the past as well famous Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan pointed out that she was signed as the main lead in Kaho naa Pyar Hai. But after one-week shootings, she walked out of the project. And according to her, only Hrithik Roshan was the priority on the sets. She even pointed out that her replacement had bad makeup, under-eye bags and average dressing in the actual film. Hence, she was satisfied that she walked out of the project.

Hrithik Roshan made big records with his strong artistic works in many projects. But Koi Mil Gaya holds a special space among all. After the success of the flick director cum producer turned his project into a franchise. He then came with Krrish. Hrithik Roshan played as son of Rohit Mehra and Priyanka Chopra was cast as his love interest.

The story of the first flick continued and it became another hit. Further, the makers decided to take it to the next level and made Krissh 3. Hrithik and Reprised their characters of Krrish and the story continued. Vivek Oberoi and Kangana Ranaut played the main antagonists. Interestingly, this narrative was made on a heavy budget of 93 crores. And it collected 394 crores in its lifetime making it a huge success at the ticket window.

Now Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan are gearing up to surprise their audience with Krrish 4. Rakesh Roshan once admitted that Krrish 4 will be made on a very high level competing with Hollywood movies. But his son Hrithik Roshan is busy with the filming of his next flick Fighter which is slated to release next year on Republic Day. 

But Rajat Bedi is left behind with an incomplete career where even after lots of hard work and hits in his kitty he kept unrecognised in the industry. His last flick that was released on Zee 5 this year in February was average.

We believe that this world of stars is not for everybody. If one gets successful in this Sphere of showbiz then there are many who fail to achieve their dreams. Further, the biased and unfair practices make it a worse place for those struggling. Hence, one must have a career option in line if the struggle here is not fruitful.
