Poonam Dhillon defends daughter Paloma on Nepotism ahead of her debut release Dono witn Rajveer Deol

Former Bollywood actress Poonam Dhillon came upfront as a protective mother to guard her daughter Paloma against impending Nepotism allegations ahead of her debut release Dono with Rajveer Deol.

80s fame Poonam Dhillon comes upfront to stop ongoing criticism. The upcoming love drama Dono starring Rajveer Singh and Paloma as the main lead debutants is about to release in the entertainment industry of India. With this chapter, Bollywood is going to witness more star kids trying their luck in acting careers.

Paloma is the daughter of the famous actress of the ’80s Poonam Dhillon and Rajveer Deol is the younger son of the Gadar actor Sunny Deol. Both Rajveer and Paloma are all set to mark their Bollywood debut with a Hindi love-based story named Dono.
As both are the Star Kids. There is a high likelihood of criticism and debate starting on nepotism once again. If the film wins the audience. The majority will say that star kids got the chance in a good row script without any hard work. And if they say then netizens will slam both of the actors for trying their luck without preparation and struggle.

Poonam Dhillon with daughter Paloma

This time as daughter of the actress Poonam Dhillon is going to debut. She came upfront to discuss this matter more opening explaining many things for the sake of her daughter’s career. In one of her interactions with the Rajshree interviewers, she said,” There’s this thing in our industry that you have the reach if you are a star… I have so much regard for the Rajshree banner.”

She further added,” I have never worked with them. I’ve seen Suraj Ji’s films. Personally, I didn’t know him much other than hello or hi.” She further defended that she had no involvement in the casting of her daughter and said, “There’s no question of me calling Suraj ji and telling him that my daughter wants to be an actor. That never happened.”

She further explained that her daughter went through the process of selection for the movie as a regular newcomer. It’s not that she was given this chance only because she is a daughter to a former actress. She had to go through the audition as many times as they needed.

Expressing her feelings over the debate she also said that it makes her feel sad to see the trolling and comments about nepotism online. Further revealing she noted that these kids work as hard and go through as much struggle. You cannot take that away from them.

Praising her daughter Pamola her mother further added that she got the part on her own merit. Today it’s not possible for anybody whether they’s from the field of dance or music. Which producer would invest 30 to 50 crore on a kid who’s not talented? Hence criticizing people who push debate like nepotism she said,” It is not a good argument which some disgruntled and negative thinking people have put out.”

Rajveer and Paloma in Dono

Defending her words she also gave an example of her own sister. who is a doctor? And her son as well became a gold medalist doctor getting inspired by the mother. So she concluded at the end
that opportunities can come your way. but you cannot make it unless you work really really hard.
Additionally, for those unaware, Dono marks the debut of three kids from the industry.

Apart from Rajveer and Paloma Avinash Barjatya son of Suraj Barjatya marks his debut as a director with this film. His father Suraj Barjatya is also a successful director of the industry. In his career span, he directed big blockbusters like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Maine Pyaar Kiya Hum Saath Saath Hain and many more.

Hence, following his dad’s footsteps Avinash as well as directing a love story of Rajveer and Paloma.

We agree with former actress Poonam Dhillon on the fact that debates like Nepotism are harsh to those star kids who prepare well and work hard. Actors like Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Salman Khan proved themselves and won a place in stardom with their hard work. But at the same time, there are star kids who just tried their luck because they had the opportunity. But they eventually left the industry after failed careers.

But before leaving they took away those opportunities from some hard-working strugglers who had the potential but they were not star Kids. The same applies to Paloma beyond this lifelong lecture. If she carries the potential and skills to win the audience. She will be unstoppable. Otherwise, the rest is history.
