Punjabi Entertainment Industry shakens as Police Removes Security for Most Singers, Keeping Only Gippy Grewal and Babbu Mann Protected
In a recent decision, the Punjab Police has removed security for all singers in the state, except for two well-known stars, Gippy Grewal and Babbu Mann. This decision was made in a meeting led by DGP Gaurav Yadav, where it was decided that only singers facing a real threat from gangsters would receive police protection.
The move has raised concerns, especially after gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s recent interview, where he warned that his gang would target singers and actors once their security was taken away. Now, with this step by the police, many are worried that celebrities might become easy targets.
New Rules for Paid Security
The police have also introduced new rules for singers who want to keep their security. If a Punjabi province celebrity feels they need protection, they can pay for it themselves. The police will decide the number of security personnel required and calculate the cost, which needs to be paid six months in advance. Singers will also have to provide their income tax documents, and only after a full background check by intelligence agencies will paid security be allowed. Free security will only be given if there’s a proven threat.
The Sidhu Moosewala Incident
This decision brings back memories of the tragic death of popular singer Sidhu Moosewala. After the AAP government took over, they removed security for many high-profile people to reduce expenses. This gave gangsters a chance to attack Moosewala, leading to his unfortunate death.
The entertainment industry in Punjab has long been dealing with threats from the underworld. With the police withdrawing protection, many believe that celebrities might turn to private security agencies to stay safe.
Whatโs Next for Punjabi Stars?
With the increasing threat from gangsters, this decision is expected to push many celebrities to arrange their own protection. The big question is whether private security will be enough to keep them safe in the dangerous environment of Punjabโs entertainment world.
Stay tuned to Bollywood Pollywood Lifez for further updatesย on how this new policy will impact the stars and whether it will help or cause more trouble in the future.
