Anushka Sharma is today a well-known artist in the Hindi entertainment world. But she entered this industry as an outsider and made a mark on her own. Karan Johar once admitted on The Kapil Sharma Show that he almost recommended his friend Aditya Chopra to change the female lead in his next upcoming. As he was doubtful of her acting skills. It all started when Actress started her career with Yash Raj Films.
Actually, the artist never thought of joining the film fraternity and wanted a strong career in modeling. Hence after graduating the aspiring model shifted to Mumbai to pursue her dreams. She joined a modeling agency named Elite Model Management for the same. In 2007 she walked the first ramp of her life with Lakme Fashion Week. But only after walking the ramp, she gradually realized that she was expressive and models are not supposed to express. Hence she focused on the fact that she is born. Models are actually made to focus on a blank look. And all the attention goes to the designer outfit instead.
Her intentions got inclined towards acting. Hence, alongside her modeling, the Sultan actress enrolled herself in an acting school. With ongoing acting classes, she also kept auditioning for roles in Mumbai. Interestingly the actress; also auditioned for 3 Idiots. Finally, in 2008, she got noticed by Aditya Chopra and he decided to launch the lady opposite King Khan of Bollywood. Karan Johar is a good friend to Aditya Chopra and he founds she is mere waste of time.
But Aditya Chopra did not follow his friend and instead believed in his inner instinct. as he was sure that she will a star in the coming years. He offered her a 3 film deal. Pathaan of Bollywood and actress Anushka Sharma ca, me together in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Exactly opposite to Karan Johar’s words it was a commercial success. Further the performer an entry to the nominations list of both Best Actress and Best Debut Actress of the Year. Moreover, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi turned out to be the second-highest grosser of the year.
To date, the producer cum director of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was not impressed like the whole of the country with the skills of the Phillauri girl. then her next project Badmaash Company opposite shahid kapoor went unnoticed. And she again came back on the silver screen with her second project of the deal with Yash Raj Films. Also, the name of the movie was Band Baja Baraat. made on a limited budget of 15 crores, the narrative collected 33 crores in gross doubling the invested amount of the makers. Additionally, the tale received six nominations in the yearly Awards of Appreciation.
Most importantly, Student of the Year producer, Karan Johar got that impressed that he felt bad for his words against her. Even the director called the lady to apologize that he almost spoiled the career of a star of the country even before it started.
After her band Baja Baraat, the actress was unstoppable and gave numerous hits in her career. Not only success, the actress also met her soul mate because of her profession. Virat Kohli, the famous cricketer and caption of team India met his other half for an ad shoot. And they became good friends on the shoot. Finally, the love blossomed and the two tied the Knot in 2017. now the couple is proud parents to their daughter Vamika.
Today Anushka Sharma is not just an actress in Indian cinema. Rather she is a business women with a clothing brand, named Nush. moreover, she is also turned into a producer in the film industry with her shared production company named Clean Slate Filmz. She shares the ownership with her real brother named Karnesh Sharma.
Since the birth of her daughter, Sharma has kept a low [profile on her acting projects. As we expect the Zero actress must be enjoying her motherhood and family time. She was last seen in 2022 in Qala playing a cameo. the movie was released on OTT. Now she is awaiting a release that she is finished with for shoots and the name of the project is Chakda ‘Xpress. it is a biopic on the story of a cricketer named Julan Goswami. It will mark the comeback of the performer after 3 years at the Box office.
Imagine if Aditya Chopra had agreed to the suggestion of his friend. Then her career path might be completely different. Hence the actress must be thankful to Chopra’s head for this opportunity in life. And it comes as a huge lesson for Karan Johar that talent exists outside the industry borns as well.
