Actor Nawazuddin gave a cunning comment on big-budget films
Recently famous Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui was asked to comment on Bollywood Movies. And, in his comment, he replied that these big-budget movies are actually causing damage to the Bollywood industry. Most of them are just knocking down badly at the box office and in rare cases they are succeeding for a reason. And imagine that all are big-budget movies and this way they are just destroying the industry.
He even said that such movies actually do not have any stories. Rather they just have a few songs and some action. Choreographer looks after the songs and the action designer deals with the action part. Imagine, what is left for the director and the actor.
He further mentioned that some people in the industry still invest big monies in projects and cast actors with no audience to watch. They do not give the same opportunity to someone, who interests the audience.
Additionally, he also mentioned that filmmakers take 10 to 15 actors and artists in the same movie and invest a whopping amount of 60 to 100 crores in a project that doesn’t interest the audience. Because there is nothing in the movie and finally it fails at the box office. But such filmmakers will never bother to cast a good actor instead and rather invest less money comparatively.
He further defined actors into two categories stating that there are two types of actors. One is a public actor and the other one is an industry actor. The industry actor keeps delivering movies regularly but the public actor is not even allowed to reach his audience. He even added that he will prefer to shoot himself rather than do the same roles and he loves to explore new roles.
His words are quite non-digestive for most of the filmmakers in the industry as they may take it personally as a dig on them. But he is not at all wrong. In fact, since the covid lockdown happened in the world, Bollywood is not able to revive back properly. And if we blame OTT or other stuff then why movies like RRR and Kashmir files were successful? Moreover, if we try to explore the first quarter of the Bollywood industry, only three movies turned out to be blockbusters. And the rest of the investment just got wasted.
A good movie needs a good story and a wonderful script. Further, it needs excellent screenplay and artists who are actually living the characters in front of the camera. Big budgets and only superstars or star kids were never the requirement in the world of entertainment. This is an art-based industry and art is not heredity.
At the same time, we do not say that a superstar should stop working and only allow others to replace him. Rather he must focus on a good story and a good transcript instead. Moreover, he should also remember the fact of his life that he was as well given a chance which made him a superstar. Hence superstars must respect the new entrants as well that do not belong to the industry beforehand. On the other hand, newcomers as well should equally respect the senior stars of the industry beyond their success rate.
Jogira Sara Ra Ra
Nawazzuddin Siddiqui’s Jogira Sara Ra Ra is slated to release on 26 May 2023. He plays the main lead in the story. And, actress Neha Sharma plays the second lead opposite him. In the movie, he acts as a clever boy who uses his convergent thinking to find a solution for any problem and solves it.
In the story of the film, he is a firm atheist of the constitution of marriage and wants to continue his bachelor life. Further, he meets a girl whose name is Dimple and she as well carries the same approach to life. But her parents insist that she is at the right age to get married and gets her engaged to a boy of their choice against her will. She requests Jogi to play some game to save her from marriage without the blame coming on her.
And he plans and successfully gets her kidnapped to cancel her wedding. In the end, Dimple’s father pushes him to marry Dimple. Hence he himself gets trapped in his own plot. It is a comedy-based love story. Apart from this Nawazuddin is awaiting seven more releases this year in a row.
