Naseeruddin Shah speaks for the talented backstage workers while he censors the whole of Bollywood for ignoring them in those dark rooms.

Yesteryear actor Naseeruddin Shah is a celebrity from the ’70s of Indian cinema. Today. he is at the age of retirement above 70. But he still looks as competitive as the young artist. And he takes his work more as worship. Many are not aware that he belongs to a Nawab family. Also, he served the country as a military officer before starting as an artist in 1967.

The Vishwatma actor is one of the few artists of the country who have participated in the world of entertainment from its early years. And he majorly contributed to promoting and improving it while it was growing to become a major industry presenting Asia worldwide.
Recently FHF organized an event to honour backstage and behind-the-camera hard workers of the industry. We always watch movies and appreciate the visible cast. But there is a big team of perfectionists behind those big screens who work for the success of these flicks in dark rooms.

The dirty picture actor graced the event as a chief guest. While attending it as a senior actor in the entertainment industry. He raised his voice in favour of all those workers, who work behind the camera without getting a shout-out in the world. But they are vital contributors to prominent history creator projects of entertainment. The Mohra actor referred to the bad practices in this industry for continuously ignoring real talent all these decades.

His speech was all about recognizing the behind-the-camera heroes. And, it had nothing to do with the artist working on the big screens or any biased treatment that they as well become victims of. His words were all in praise of those. He said,” They have spent their entire life in a dark room for all of us, to entertain us, we should applaud them.”

He further added,” I am thankful to Shivendra Dungarpur and FHF founder and his team for recognizing these people. I am here as an audience, I am grateful to have met and interacted with them.” Slamming his own industry he further added.” The bitter truth of the film industry is that those who work hard a lot during the making of the film like men and others their income is not much.”

Elaborating further the Monsoon Wedding actor said, “This is the nature of the beast. The issue is this thing remains the same even the post the release of the movie. For instance, if a film is successful then distributors and exhibitors take the major share of the profit. Those who help to achieve this success, no one cares about them. They are not even awarded.

He also bought the ongoing Hollywood strike to the attention of the media to point out the importance of these people in adding life to a film. As the majority of people are on strike, many big Hollywood movies are on halt and in between. Somehow they are awaiting the end of this strike so as to resume their shootings and backstage work.

These equally talented people play an important role in the making of a narrative. But their contribution is never appreciated or bought into the limelight. His voice is a big support for strugglers and hardworking people who work anonymously just like the foundation stones that support the building without being visible.

And it is not only limited to one industry. It is worldwide. Entertainers are appreciated because their work is visibly comparable. But hardly anybody in this world bothers to know about the rest of the team as artists. A few actors have been vocal about their contribution while getting awarded.

Once Aishwarya Rai took the initiative to thank her make-up artists, dress designers and hair artists for their major contributions on a chat show. Even in Hollywood, people love to thank their team and even tag them for their looks and styles on social media. But this event was a first-time initiative of the organisers. And the legendary, Naseerudin Shah added his needy words.

This news can even make the award organizers rethink and add some more categories to their list of awards.
For those unaware, the event was organized to honour the three major contributors to the industry. And they are Lakhan Lal Yadav from Raipur, PA Salam from Pune’s national film at Archives of India and Muhammad Aslam Fakih of Regal Cinema Mumbai.
We congratulate all three talented workers for the recognition and honour and thank them for their on behalf of our Indian audience for entertaining us.
