Story and review of LSD2
LSD 2 is divided into three segments that are connected conceptually – Love (Like), Sex (Share) and Dhokha (Download).
The first segment of LSD2 follows the story of Noor (Paritosh Tiwari), a transwoman part of the reality show, Truth Ya Naach. In the reality show, individuals are ranked based on the number of people that they are able to engage, with their life journey.
The second segment of LSD2 follows the life of Kulu (Bonita Rajpurohit), a transgender who works at a metro station and lives paycheck to paycheck. Kullu is assaulted and her employer Lovina (Swastika Mukherjee) takes benefit of the situation and does all that she can, to fuel her selfish agenda.
The third and the final segment of LSD2 focuses on YouTuber Shubhman (Abhinav Singh), whose obsession with subscriber count eventually comes to bite him.
In the first segment of “LSD2,” the portrayal of Noor’s journey on the reality show “Truth Ya Naach” lacks depth and fails to fully explore the complexities of her character as a transwoman. The storyline feels rushed, and the challenges Noor faces within the reality show are not adequately developed, leaving the audience with a superficial understanding of her experiences.
In the second segment, the narrative surrounding Kulu’s assault and subsequent exploitation by her employer, Lovina, feels contrived and lacks authenticity. The portrayal of Kulu’s struggles to make ends meet and the exploitation she faces are oversimplified, failing to capture the nuances of the challenges faced by transgender individuals in society.
The third segment of LSD2 focusing on YouTuber Shubhman’s obsession with subscriber count suffers from a lack of originality and depth. The character’s descent into obsession feels clichéd, and the consequences of his actions are predictable and uninspired. Additionally, the portrayal of online fame and its impact on Shubhman’s life lacks nuance and fails to explore the complexities of internet culture and social media addiction.
Overall, “LSD2” struggles with shallow character development, contrived plotlines, and a lack of depth in exploring the societal issues it attempts to address. The film fails to fully engage the audience and falls short of delivering a meaningful and thought-provoking cinematic experience.
“LSD2” is a disjointed mess that leaves viewers scratching their heads in confusion. From start to finish, nothing in this film fits together cohesively. The story lacks direction, the characters are weak and forgettable, and there’s nothing compelling enough to hold the audience’s interest.
Each segment feels like a random assortment of scenes thrown together without any thought or purpose. The transitions between storylines are jarring, and there’s no sense of narrative flow. As a result, watching “LSD2” feels more like enduring a headache-inducing puzzle than enjoying a cinematic experience.
One can’t help but wonder what made the filmmakers invest in such a lifeless script. In a time when strong scripts are struggling to find funding and recognition, it’s baffling that “LSD2” managed to secure financing. The lack of creativity and originality is glaring, and it’s difficult to see how anyone thought there was potential in this lackluster project.
Overall, “LSD2” is a forgettable film that fails to leave any lasting impression. It’s a prime example of how not to make a movie, and it’s a shame that talented actors and filmmakers wasted their time and resources on such a misguided endeavor.
