Rohit Shetty schools others while accepting his failures and learning from them
Rohit Shetty is no less than a brand in the entertainment industry of India. His works speak for him. As a director, he gave many iconic roles and big hits to the fraternity. His cop universe includes Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi. He is one of the finest directors who makes meaningful projects and keeps action, drama and emotions at balance while making it a complete entertainer.
Instead of studying in an acting school, he started working as an assistant to a director at a very young age. There he gained real-life experience and polished his skills to turn into one of the best film-makers in the industry.
For those unversed, he debuted as an independent director in 2003 with Zameen. But his first breakthrough came with Golmaal which converted to a series. Since then the director turned producer gave numerous entertainers to the audience. The list includes big names like Sooryavanshi, Chennai Express, Simmba and Dilwale.
But his last flick Circus miserably failed at the ticket window last year. It was released on 23 December 2022 targeting the Christmas and new year festive moods of the audience. Even after being a comedy-based entertainer, it failed to cover the invested amount as well. It was based on confusion that two pairs of identical encounter each other.
As the film failed and generated huge losses for the makers. Rohit Shetty has come forward and openly accepted his fault as he has always accepted the success. Eloborating his feeling while facing a failure, the Sunday director said It Didn’t Hurt me. I am not the kind of person who gets hurt, You get disappointed when you work hard on a thing and it does not work, but you analyse and you move forward.
While keeping himself firm and grounded he further added, ” You can’t be an escapist. If I made Sooryavanshi, then I also made Circus. If Chennai Express is my film, then Dilwale is also mine. Dilwali didn’t do as much business as Chennai Express did but that is meant to happen.”
Taking responsibility for the failure he also said,” The best p[part is that you can’t deny it. You can’t make excuses that it didn’t work because of this or that. Somewhere you have gone wrong and if you, as a man, say this analyse this and sit with your team, they also admit that we all went wrong somewhere, let’s move forward and get into the next project.
In his speech, he also said,” I think that’s life. Ups and downs are a part of life, you learn from your failure and never be an escapist.
Comparing his last two releases he also said,” So, if Sooryavanshi was my film, which was released a year before we opened the theatres and it was the biggest hit with just 50% seating capacity, then with everything going right, the audience is coming to the theatres, and we give a film, Cirkus that doesn’t do well, that also belongs to me and I will not deny that.”
Rohit Shetty proved himself as a true hard worker as he is ready to get up and join the race even after a hit back. His fans are followers are landing him for his ownership dare for a failure. It was easy to blame others and escape from the back making them answerable. When the industry is already in a shaken state it was easy to bring that point into consideration.
But he cleared the cloud from every point to make his audience feel that the All the Best director is not saying it for the sake. he actually means it and wants to look deeper into what went wrong. One should learn from his words beyond the industry as well.
Because the moment you take charge of your failures and stop cursing fate or anybody else. That’s the day you started to improve your self your skills. Rohit Shetty must have gained his popularity and trust among investors for his upcoming projects.
On the work front, the director of the Golmaal series is all set to debut on OTT as a director cum producer with Indian Police Officer. As Rohit has already mentioned he has a special interest in spy dramas. This as well relate to a other cop based entertainers.
