Katrina Kaif on Balancing Acting and Business: “Sometimes Vicky Has to Remind Me to Put Down My Phone”

Katrina Kaif is one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, but she’s also making waves in the beauty industry with her brand, Kay Beauty. In a recent interview, she opened up about how she manages to juggle her thriving acting career and her passion for her business. And, like many of us, she sometimes finds it hard to switch off from work—even at the dinner table.

Katrina Kaif speaks about life Balancing

Katrina admits that balancing her acting career with running a beauty brand isn’t always easy. “Balancing my career as an actor and as an entrepreneur is incredibly rewarding but also demanding,” she shared. It’s not uncommon for her to be so caught up in work that her husband, Vicky Kaushal, has to remind her to take a break. “There are times when my husband tells me to put down the phone at the dinner table,” she said, laughing at how work can creep into personal moments.

Still, Katrina’s passion for her business drives her to keep going, even when it gets tough. “I often have just one last thing to do for a key launch,” she explained. Luckily, Vicky understands and supports her commitment, knowing how much her work means to her. “He knows that this dedication comes from extreme passion,” she added.

Katrina’s foray into the beauty industry wasn’t just about creating another celebrity brand. Having faced the pressures of unrealistic beauty standards throughout her career, she wanted to make a difference. “As a model and actress, I’ve experienced the intimidation of unrealistic beauty standards,” she said, reflecting on the challenges that many women face.

This experience inspired her to create Kay Beauty, a brand that celebrates diversity and encourages self-acceptance. “It’s crucial for women to understand their unique strengths and power,” Katrina emphasized. For her, beauty isn’t about fitting into a mold but about embracing what makes you unique. “Constant exposure to ideal beauty standards does not encourage confidence or the celebration of one’s unique identity,” she noted, a powerful message that resonates with many.

Merry Christmas postponed

Even as she navigates the world of business, Katrina hasn’t slowed down on the acting front. She recently starred in the thriller “Merry Christmas” alongside Vijay Sethupathi, and she’s gearing up for her next big project, “Jee Le Zara,” where she’ll share the screen with Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra.

Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal is also making big moves in his career. He was last seen in the film “Bad Newz,” and he’s set to take on the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the historical drama “Chhaava,” which is due to release in December 2024.

Through it all, Katrina and Vicky continue to support each other, both in their careers and in their personal lives. Katrina’s journey from Bollywood star to successful entrepreneur is a testament to her hard work and determination. And with Vicky by her side, reminding her to take a break now and then, the couple proves that true success is about finding balance and supporting the ones you love.

Call Me Bae trailer released on YouTube with Ananya Panday portraying the lead role of Bae.

After watching the trailer for Ananya Panday’s new series Call Me Bae, it’s hard not to feel a bit underwhelmed. The show seems more interested in showcasing fashion and luxury than telling a meaningful story. The idea of a rich girl suddenly having to live like an ordinary person could have been interesting, but here it just feels unrealistic and hollow.

Call Me Bae Trailer

Ananya Panday does a solid job as Bae in Call Me Bae, she’s charming and effortlessly slips into the role. It’s clear she’s having fun with it, and her comic timing is spot on. But she seems stuck in a role that doesn’t really give her much to work with. Bae is essentially just a slightly more refined version of Kareena Kapoor’s Poo from K3G or Alia Bhatt’s Shanaya from Student of the Year, atleast what i find. There’s nothing particularly fresh or exciting about the character or the story. Imagine K3G or Student Of The Year with just Poo or Shanaya. We’re they worth the screentime?
