Karan Singh Grover Opens Up About His Past Marriages and Life Transformation

Karan Singh Grover, one of television’s most popular faces, recently opened up about his failed marriages and personal transformations in an interview with a leading news agency. Grover, who is married to actress Bipasha Basu, welcomed their daughter Devi in 2022. For the first time, he discussed his divorces from Jennifer Winget and Shraddha Nigam, expressing that these breakups ‘happened for the best.’

Reflecting on his divorces, Karan Singh Grover said, “There’s nothing good about a breakup or a divorce. Yeah, later when people move on, they realize that it happened for the best. That’s a good thing. But I never felt the need to speak to anyone about the crap that’s happening in my life because I don’t expect people to come and talk to me about the crap that’s happening in their life. That is not my main motive. I would like to spread some love and joy. Everyone has their own s**t to deal with and I think everyone deserves that kind of privacy to handle their own s**t.”

Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu’s love story began on the sets of the film Alone in 2015. The couple quickly fell in love and tied the knot on April 30, 2016. Their relationship has brought significant changes in Grover’s life, especially with the birth of their daughter Devi in November 2022. Karan Singh Grover also shared how Bipasha has transformed his life, stating, “I know myself today because of her. The change that has happened is so drastic. Like from being a nocturnal being to somebody waking up at 5 a.m. and wanting to see every sunrise and every sunset.”

Before his marriage to Bipasha, Karan Singh Grover had two previous marriages. In 2008, he married actress Shraddha Nigam. Unfortunately, their marriage ended in divorce in 2009. Karan then met Jennifer Winget on the sets of Dill Mill Gayye. The two started dating and married in 2012, but their union lasted only 10 months before they filed for divorce in 2014. 

Discussing his previous relationships, Karan Singh Grover mentioned that during those times, he was not yet a professional actor and did not feel the need to justify his actions to anyone. He emphasized his indifference to public opinion, stating, “I’m not somebody who gets bothered if people think good or bad about me.”

Jennifer Winget also shared her perspective on their divorce in a previous interview with Bollywood Bubble. She revealed that neither she nor Karan was ready for the commitment at the time, and their decision to part ways was mutual. Winget described the post-divorce period as particularly challenging due to the public sympathy, which led her to withdraw from social interactions. Despite the difficulties, she acknowledged that the experience was part of her personal growth.
