Kangana Ranaut Reacts to Annu Kapoor’s Comments Amidst Airport Slap Controversy

Kangana Ranaut, who recently won over the hearts of Mandi citizens by securing a victory in the Lok Sabha Elections for her constituency, has responded to remarks made by her co-actor Annu Kapoor. For context, when Annu Kapoor was asked by a reporter about the slapping incident, he seemed to not recognize Kangana Ranaut. He said, “Yeh Kangana ji kaun hai? Zahir hai aap puch rahein hain toh koi badi heroine hi hongi? Sundar hain kya? Ek sundar hai toh humein waise hi unse jalan ho rahi hai kyun ki ham nahi hai. Uske baad powerful bhi hai. Aap bol rahein hai ki unko kisine thappad maara. Toh karvayi toh karni hi chahiye definitely.”

(Who is this Kangana ji? If you are asking, it means she is a popular heroine. Is she pretty? If she is, I am already jealous of her because I am not. And on top of that, she seems powerful too. And you are saying someone slapped her? Then she should definitely take action).

Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram to share a clip of the press conference where Annu made this statement. She questioned her followers, “Do you agree with Annu Kapoor ji that we tend to hate a successful woman, hate her more if she is beautiful and hate her even more passionately if she is powerful? Is it true?”

Kangana Ranaut also filed a legal complaint against the airport security officer who slapped her upon her return from Chandigarh. The officer alleged that her actions were driven by her mother’s strong disapproval of Kangana Ranaut’s political views, particularly during the farmer’s protest. The officer also accused Kangana Ranaut of being non-cooperative during the security check, which led to the confrontation. Kangana Ranaut, however, maintained that she was fully cooperative and that the officer’s hostility was unprovoked.
