A festival of colours, Holi in Bollywood
We all know, Holi is a festival of colours played by colouring each other celebrated in India. Also,it is actually played to celebrate the victory of good over evil. And, people splash colours on each other to wish Happy Holi.
Interestingly, Bollywood is famous to present festivals in movies. And, the audience gets more connected and the charts get played while celebrating those festivals every year. Moreover, the acts played in movies while celebrating become rituals. Additionally, Hindi movies present almost all festivals and rituals. But, the main festivals to connect celebration includes Diwali and Holi.

1.Aaj na Chodenge
Firstly, In 1971 Rajesh Khanna and Asha Parekh celebrated Holi with a song Aaj na Chodenge in Kati patang. And, Rajesh Khanna was the first superstar of the nation. Moreover, Kati Patang became a superhit grosser of the year. Also, every year, his chart is devoted to the festival and is played nationwide to celebrate Holi.
2. Sholey song
Then, in the year 1975, real-life couples Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Hema Malini gave the best-ever hit in Bollywood. And, the movie is none other than Sholey. Also, we got the best couples, the best iconic dialogues and the best song to celebrate Holi with this movie. Additionally, Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar were the singers of the superhit song. And, all four leads were unmarried during the production of the movie. But later on, Amitabh Bachchan married Jaya Bachchan and Dharmendra married Hema Malini. The name of the song is Holi ke din
3. Rang Barse
In 1978, Amitabh Bachchan and his co-star Rekha made us groove on Rang Barse song in Silsila. Rekha made a comeback on the silver screen with silsila after a magical change in her looks. As, she entered the film industry at a very young age, the media criticized her for her south appearance and bulky looks. But she banged as a Greek Goddess in the movie. And, both the leads became an overnight hit couple. After that, they were also in news for their relationship. And the Silsila actress never cleared the air on that. Even today when she flaunts vermilion people consider it linked to her love for her co-star Amitabh Bachchan.
4. Raghuveera song
Next comes another hit chart. Again Amitabh Bachchan comes with another Holi song with co-star Hema Malini. The name of the movie is Bhagbaan. And the song is Holi khele Raghuveera. Bhagbaan was a hit movie of the year 2003. In the movie, Amitabh Bachchan is a retired banker and Hema Malini presents the character of his wife. In the movie, they play Holi with their extended family.
5. Balam pichkari
Last but not least is the hit chartbuster from 2013. It is a hit song from Yeh Jawani hai Deewani. The name of the song is Balam Pichkari. It is the only song in the list presented by a recent pair. And the music of the song is more mixed towards the English version. To start with, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were the main leads of the movie. Interestingly they debuted with the same movie Bachna Ar Haseeno in the Industry.
Then they dated for a while to break on a bitter note. Finally, they both took a mature decision by operating their personal issues from their professional life. And the ex-couple gave a big hit in their career post-breakup. Now they are keeping good friends with each other. Personally, they both are happily married to their civil partners.
