Karan Johar has decided to take a nostalgic leap back in time by featuring his first leading ladies – the ever-talented duo of Rani Mukerji and Kajol. The promo for the upcoming episode also promises an abundance of entertainment, from Kajol’s staged walkout to Rani teasingly plotting to expose Karan, setting the stage for an exciting rendezvous on the infamous Koffee couch.

Further, a captivating moment in the teaser was Kajol’s confession about not knowing that Rani had a special appearance in the iconic film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. During a buzzer round, when asked about the movie where Rani had a special appearance, Kajol, lightning-quick on the buzzer, drew a blank. Karan Johar, with a mix of playful teasing, exclaimed, “How are you so stupid? The answer is Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham!” An astonished Kajol’s response, “Rani had a special appearance in the film?” was priceless, accompanied by the reactions of Rani and Karan Johar.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was Karan Johar’s second directorial venture. And it boasted an ensemble cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and Jaya Bachchan. Rani Mukerji portrayed the character of Naina Kapoor, longing to marry SRK’s character Rahul.

Taking to Instagram to share the promo, Karan Johar expressed his excitement, saying, “We’ve hit the button hard enough to bring my first leading ladies – Kajol and Rani back on the Koffee with Karan couch. And it’s nostalgia in the purest form!!!!” The anticipation for the episode is palpable, building a buzz for the much-awaited Thursday rendezvous.
