In the latest Bollywood news trouble brewing between cast and makers of Gadar 3 Even before the start of the script writing.
Tara Singh and Sakeena’s love story Gadar- Ek Prem Katha was a massive hit of 2001. And it turned to a franchisee with the launch of a second chapter Gadar 2- the Katha continues. The success of the second part of the story was that enormous to make it the second blockbuster of the year. Since then the cast of the movie is in Bollywood news for some reason or other.
Recently only the makers announced the likelihood of making the third part of the movie considering the love and attachment of the audience with the characters of the story. But, it is just a speculated yet. And the actual planning is not started yet. Hence, nobody is sure if ever it is made if it will be possible with the same cast or it will move further with something new. But the main lead actress of both the parts aka Ameesha Patel have already expressed her conditions.
Raising the issues related to the Gadar 2- The Katha Continues, she made the headlines in the Bollywood news stating that her role in the second chapter was very limited. She also went on to remind the makers that audience went on to watch Tara Singh and Sakeena’s love chapter. But it had more to do with the father- Son drama. Hence, the film did not receive an overwhelming response internationally.
For the unversed, the first part of the story showed the love life of Sakeena and Tara Singh. They were the main center of this film and they both also received the maximum screen time. But in the second part that takes us to the time 20 years ahead. And their son Jeete as well is grown up enough that his own love story starts. Here Ameesha Patel gets sidelined with a very limited exposure on the screen.
Now, she complaints that audience was attached with the characters of Tara Singh and sakina but their moments were not shown that much. Hence if her exposure will not be increased she will not participate in the third chapter of the series.
Fueling further this breaking Bollywood News, the director of both the chapters of Gadar Series Anil Sharma gave an epic reply. His words conclude that character of Sakeena is his creation and not amisha Patel’s. Hence, only he will decide how the story will move further on the big screens. Further he also clarified that they just have an idea that Gadar 3 will be made in the near future. Nobody have starts working on the script yet. And once the script is finalised only then the characters will be shortlised.
Director Anil Sharma tried to clear the doubts of the actress that she cannot demand a change in her role when the script does not fit in there. Also, the success of the movie as well speaks in favor of the director. Sunny Deol portraying the character of Tara Singh is the centre of the story. And in first part he fought for his love of life and then in second part for his son’s love life.
Now, only time will tell if Ameesha Patel will compromise on a small role with the makers in the future or they will replace her some way from the third part of the story.
