Kareena took to social media to share her feelings, writing, “Twelve years later, the same story, the same protest But we are still waiting for change.” Her message, which included a broken heart emoji, reflected the collective grief and frustration of a nation that has had enough of these senseless acts of violence against women

This wasn’t just another post for Kareena. It was a cry for justice for Moumita, the young doctor whose life was taken away in such a cruelest way. Using hashtags like #JusticeForMoumita and #WomenSafety, Kareena joined countless others in demanding accountability and change.

The tragic incident of Kolkata Rape and Murder took place on August 9 at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, where the young doctor was found dead in a seminar hall. Her family told she was raped before being murdered, a claim that has shocked and horrified people across the country. The news has sparked widespread protests, with many demanding that the system finally step up to protect women.

“HOW are we supposed to go to work or live our lives with this playing on our minds?” Alia asked, echoing the fears that so many women in India live with every day. She also highlighted the disturbing statistics from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), which show just how grim the situation still is.

Parineeti Chopra also couldn’t stay silent in support for Kolkata Rape and Murder Victim She reshared a post on Instagram with a blunt and angry message: “If it is too difficult for you to read, imagine what it was for her. Disgusting. Horrific. Hang him by his b***s.” Her words were a raw expression of the anger so many of us feel.

Vijay Varma added his voice, posting a video on Instagram with the message, ‘At least, protect our protectors.”‘ He pointed out the tragic irony of the Kolkata Rape and Murder Victim, a young woman who had dedicated her life to helping others wasn’t safe herself.
