Bobby Deol Exposes the Dark Side of Bollywood: Challenges and Transformations
Actor Bobby Deol has opened up about the “dark side” of the Hindi film industry, revealing how “somewhere everybody brainwashes you.” In an exclusive interview with Times Now News, Bobby Deol candidly discussed the struggles faced by actors and the disillusionment caused by writers, directors, and producers.
Bobby Deol shared, “Sometimes you get lost, sometimes because of the way the industry is reacting to you, you start choosing the easier and more secure path to move forward. You don’t want to take challenges, you don’t want to put yourself in a situation which is out of your comfort zone, because somewhere everybody brainwashes you. But that’s what happens, and that’s something that is sad for actors. I luckily realized that and wanted to get out of it. Many actors try to do that, but they still haven’t been able to manage it. But I have.”
Bobby Deol further elaborated on the difficulties of making choices in the industry, stating, “Choices are so difficult to make, and you tend to believe in something, and then you’re let down by the writers, the director, or the producer. They don’t want to make a film just for creative satisfaction. They want to do it to make table profits and things like that. So all that used to happen those days, and I guess things are changing now. I think it was just high time when people started believing in changes.”
Bobby Deol’s career has seen a resurgence ever since his powerful performance as an antagonist in the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer “Animal.” He is set to continue his villainous streak in Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s upcoming spy film, directed by Shiv Rawail, as part of the YRF Spy Universe. Additionally, Bobby will star in “Kanguva” alongside Suriya. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the film features an ensemble cast including Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, and Yogi Babu.
With Bobby Deol’s revelations about Bollywood’s darker aspects and his continued success in diverse roles, it’s clear that he has navigated the industry’s challenges with resilience and adaptability. Fans eagerly await his upcoming projects, anticipating more groundbreaking performances.
