Bhagwant Mann Calls Out Absence of MP Sunny Deol in Pathankot
Bhagwant Maan, while addressing the public in Pathankot, took a dig at BJP candidate and Bollywood actor Sunny Deol for his lack of presence as a Member of Parliament for the city. Bhagwant Mann sarcastically remarked that while Sunny Deol famously pulled a handpump in Lahore, he couldn’t manage to get one for his own constituents in Pathankot.
Highlighting the role of an MP as a bridge between the government and the residents, Bhagwant Mann criticized Deol’s absence from interactions with the people who voted for him. He emphasized that without understanding the problems faced by his constituents, Deol cannot effectively represent them in parliament. Maan pointed out that Deol’s absence is not limited to Pathankot but extends to his lack of attendance at parliamentary meetings as well.
While acknowledging Deol’s talent as an actor, Bhagwant Mann suggested that if Deol entered politics without a genuine intention to serve the nation, he should consider resigning from his position. Alternatively, he should commit to fulfilling his responsibilities as a responsible Member of Parliament, prioritizing the needs of the public who placed their trust in him. Ultimately, Maan stressed that Deol’s role is not about personal gain but about serving the people who elected him.
