NCP Leader Baba Siddique Shot Dead in Bandra, Two Arrested; Third Suspect on the Run
In a tragic event, Baba Siddique, a leader from the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), was shot dead in Mumbai’s Bandra area on Saturday night, October 12, 2024. The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. outside the office of his son, Zeeshan Siddique, who is an MLA from Bandra East.
Two Suspects Arrested, Third on the Run
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde shared that the police quickly arrested two suspects – one from Haryana and the other from Uttar Pradesh. However, a third suspect managed to escape after the shooting, and the police are actively searching for him. Investigators are also looking into whether any gangs were involved in the attack.
“The police teams acted fast, and we have arrested two people who fired the shots. A pistol was also recovered. The investigation is still ongoing,” said a senior police officer. Baba Siddique had recently received a threat, but it’s unclear if this is connected to the attack.
Baba Siddique’s Political Career and Fame
Baba Siddique, who had Y-category security, was a well-known politician in Mumbai. He was a former Minister and a three-time MLA. He was famous for hosting grand Iftar parties attended by Bollywood celebrities. His son, Zeeshan Siddique, is also a popular figure in both politics and social circles.
After the shooting tragedy Baba Siddique was taken, but unfortunately, he passed away from his injuries.
Public Reaction and Increased Security
As soon as news of Baba Siddique’s death spread, large crowds gathered outside the hospital. The police have increased security in Bandra to prevent any trouble. The shocking incident has left both the political and film industries in mourning, as Baba Siddique was a respected figure in both worlds.
The police are continuing their investigation to find the third suspect and bring justice for the tragic loss of Baba Siddique.

Satya, unrelenting in her determination, sets off to Hanshi Dao to fight for her brother’s life, knowing no legal help will come. What she does to protect her sibling is the gripping crux of this thriller.
