Aaradhya Bachchan’s Ongoing Fight Against Misinformation
This isn’t the first time Aaradhya Bachchan has been subjected to false claims regarding her health. Previously, in April 2023, the Delhi High Court directed Google to remove all YouTube videos that falsely reported on her well-being. The court had then emphasized that every child, regardless of their celebrity status, deserves dignity and protection from baseless speculation.
However, despite these clear directives, some online platforms have continued to circulate misleading reports about Aaradhya, prompting her legal team to take fresh action. The Delhi High Court has now intervened once again, issuing notices to Google and other platforms involved in spreading misinformation.
The Larger Issue: Misinformation in the Digital Age
This case raises serious concerns about the growing menace of fake news and the responsibility of digital platforms in curbing such content. Celebrities, especially their children, are often subjected to baseless rumors, but when it concerns a minor’s health, the situation becomes even more serious.
