Sonam Bajwa Lauds Co-star Diljit Dosanjh, Expresses Bollywood Aspirations
Punjabi cinema sensation Sonam Bajwa has heaped praise on her co-star Diljit Dosanjh for his role in the highly anticipated film “Amar Singh Chamkila.” In an interview, she shared her admiration, saying, “Diljit was too good in it. We are all very proud of him. I think the entire Punjab, all of us, we are just proud. He’s a one-of-a-kind artist, he just inspires us so much and we are very, very happy for his success.”
Sonam Bajwa’s Bollywood journey has been brief but memorable. She made a cameo appearance as Swasti in Ayushmann Khurrana’s 2019 film “Bala” and later appeared in “Street Dancer 3D” as Pammi Kaur Chaddha. Despite being one of the most successful actresses in the Punjabi industry, Sonam Bajwa is still waiting for the right Bollywood script to come her way.
In an interview with India Today, Sonam Bajwa opened up about her aspirations, saying, “See, some films I said no to, and then, of late, I have heard from people that many don’t know I live in Mumbai. So they think that since I don’t stay here, I don’t want to work in Hindi films. Having said that, if there is a good script offered to me, I would love to do Hindi films.”
Sonam Bajwa debuted with the 2013 Punjabi film “Best of Luck,” in Punjabi entertainment industry and never looked back. Now she is awaiting the release of her latest movie, “Kudi Haryane Val Di,” which also stars Ammy Virk. It is a first ever cross state movie in Pollywood. This Punjabi rom com entertainer is set to hit theaters on June 14.
