From Modelling Success to Financial Struggles: Arjun Rampal shares Journey in Bollywood
Arjun Rampal, the renowned model turned actor, reminisced about his journey in Bollywood, shedding light on the challenges he faced during the making of the film Moksha. Paired opposite the illustrious Manisha Koirala of that time, Rampal’s transition from modelling to acting wasn’t without its hurdles.
During a recent interview, Arjun Rampal candidly shared his experience shooting for Moksha in the rugged landscapes of the Chambal valley. It was during the viewing of the rushes that Rampal experienced a moment of self-doubt. “I saw myself and I hated myself,” he confessed. This introspection led him to a pivotal decision – to bid farewell to his modelling career.
Little did Arjun Rampal anticipate the arduous journey that lay ahead. Despite his decision to focus on acting, Moksha faced numerous setbacks, ultimately taking six years to materialize. Arjun Rampal found himself in dire financial straits during this period, struggling to make ends meet in the bustling city of Mumbai.
Living in Seven Bungalows, Andheri, Arjun Rampal found solace in the kindness of his landlord, a benevolent Sardarji. Month after month, Arjun Rampal found himself unable to pay rent, yet his landlord’s unwavering support and understanding offered a glimmer of hope amidst the uncertainty. “He was the sweetest man; you need those kind of breaks in your life,” reflected Rampal.
Despite the financial hardships, Arjun Rampal’s perseverance eventually paid off. Today, he stands as a testament to resilience and determination, having overcome the obstacles that once threatened to derail his dreams. Arjun Rampal’s journey serves as an inspiration to aspiring actors and individuals alike, showcasing the triumph of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
On the work front he was last seen in Crakk alongside Jamwal Vidyut and Nora Fatehi.
His life journey is no less then a lesson for the struggling newcomers who believe that hardships were only in their share.
What matters is your self belief, consistency, discipline and dignity that eventually pays back with time. Many scramble to these testing times but one has to keep going with a stubborn approach like Arjun Rampal to win over time.
