Thank You for Coming is a feminist and comic drama that focuses on the S*x life of a girl named Kanika Kapoor. In fact, she was also a born to single mother with an atmosphere at home without any male figure. Hence, Kanika is often confused about her decisions related to her relations.

The story of this feminist drama
“Thank You For Coming” commences by introducing Kanika Kapoor as the sole daughter of her single mother. In school, she faces mockery and even experiences a moment of embarrassment during a historic play when she mentions the significance of kissing in childbirth. Moreover, she is raised in a home without the presence of a male figure, and aware that her mother conceived her out of wedlock. Hence, Kanika grapples with confusion regarding her life and relationships.
In her pursuit of personal fulfilment, Kanika forms connections with three different men, but none prove to be satisfying. Only when she encounters Rushi Kalra, an unexpected guest at her birthday celebration, does her perspective shift. Also, Rushi advises her to seek a relationship with someone who genuinely loves her, rather than pursuing someone she is attracted to. After that, acting on this advice, Kanika turns to a boy who deeply admires her. Finally, in the meantime, she comes to realize that marrying him would be the best decision of her lifetime.
However, on the night of her engagement, she consumes excessive alcohol, leading to a hazy memory of the previous night’s intimate encounter. But the following morning, despite feeling content, she cannot recollect her partner’s identity. Fueled by stress and informed from a neighbour, who identifies her friend’s husband as the person seen leaving her bedroom that night, Kanika decides to end her engagement.
Ultimately, Kanika learns that she was alone that night and had a moment of self-discovery that fulfilled the desire she had long sought.
Budget of Thank You For Coming
The main shooting took place in a bustling Indian metropolis. Also, with the exception of Bhumi Pednekar, most of the star cast plays supporting roles, which keeps the film’s financial budget in check. In total, “Thank You For Coming,” a feminist comedy, was created with a reasonable budget ranging from 5 to 6 crores.
