The much-anticipated Aashiqui 3, starring Kartik Aaryan and directed by Anurag Basu, has been indefinitely postponed due to internal conflicts, including a dispute over the film’s title between producers Bhushan Kumar and Mahesh Bhatt. Actress Triptii Dimri, who was initially cast as the female lead in Aashiqui 3, has exited the project, further complicating the film’s production.
Sources indicate that Dimri’s departure was influenced by the ongoing title-related dispute in Aashiqui 3, leading to her decision to leave the project. But at the same time it was declared as third installment of Aashiqui Franchise. Hence since the firat day Aashiqui 3 was the anticipated name. In the end for unclarified reasons, Aashiqui 3 has been shelved for the time being.
In light of these developments, Kartik Aaryan and Anurag Basu are reportedly focusing on a new, untitled love story that is not part of the Aashiqui franchise. This shift in direction has left fans uncertain about the future of the Aashiqui 3, which has been a significant part of Bollywood’s romantic musical genre.
