In a shocking revelation, singer and producer Mika Singh opened up about the difficulties he faced while working with Bollywood couple Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover during the production of the 2020 web series Dangerous.
Mika, who stepped into production for this project, shared that the experience was anything but smooth. He revealed that despite being a real-life married couple, Bipasha and Karan demanded separate hotel rooms during the London shoot. The shoot, initially planned for one month, extended to two due to unforeseen delays, including a request to change hotels by the couple, adding further complications.
The most surprising issue arose when the couple refused to perform an on-screen kiss, a scene that was already part of their contract. Mika expressed his disbelief, stating that such behavior was unexpected, especially from a real-life couple. He pointed out the irony of actors maintaining utmost professionalism with bigger production houses but behaving differently with smaller ones.
The project also faced significant hurdles, including Karan Singh Grover’s injury during a stunt, which extended the shooting schedule and increased costs. Mika admitted that the experience was so challenging it discouraged him from producing films in the future.
Dangerous, written by Vikram Bhatt, was released on MX Player in 2020 but failed to leave a mark. Mika’s candid revelations provide a behind-the-scenes look at the complexities of film production and the unpredictability of working with star actors.
