Mamta Kulkarni Clears the Air: No Plans for Bollywood Comeback Amid Past Controversies

Mamta Kulkarni, a popular Bollywood actress from the 1990s known for movies like Karan Arjun and Baazi, has returned to Mumbai after 25 years. However, she has firmly denied rumors of making a Bollywood comeback. In a statement, Mamta Kulkarni clarified, “I have not returned for Bollywood, nor do I plan to act again.”

Mamta Kulkarni left India in the early 2000s to follow a spiritual path. She spent years living in Dubai and Kenya, dedicating herself to meditation and celibacy. During this time, she was linked with Vicky Goswami, a man accused of being a drug dealer. Addressing these allegations, Mamta Kulkarni said, “I was never involved in any drug activities. I started my spiritual journey in 1996 and focused only on that.”

In 2017, Mamta Kulkarni and Vicky were named in a drug case, leading to a warrant against them. Mamta has consistently denied any wrongdoing, stating that her connection with Vicky was limited and she was not involved in his alleged activities.

Mamta Kulkarni’s return to Mumbai was an emotional experience. She expressed her feelings on Instagram, saying, “After 25 years, I am back in my motherland. I attended the Kumbh Mela in 2012 after 12 years of austerity, and I’ve returned now as part of my spiritual journey.”

While some fans hoped for her return to films, Mamta Kulkarni has made it clear that she is focused on her spirituality and has no plans to step back into Bollywood.
